Just got back from fitting rear sensors to a Jeep Liberty 2002 model,

Garage has just rang to say, owner has come to collect car and since fitting the rear sensors, the front passenger door doesn't open from the inside.

My fault no doubt !

I fit a direct replacement radio once in a toyota celica which made the clutch go the next day😐
And the piss take was that my manager at the time was going to dock me to pay for it to get rid of the complaint😡

If in doubt - Get the hammer out!!

I once had, on a knackered Porsche 911, once you fitted my alarm, my car used engine oil. I had to replace it and it never used that much previously. I kid you not!!
A BMW 5 series back on the day with bumper mount antennae...since you fitted my phone kit, my windscreen cracked. He knew his colleague had a tax disc antennae so thought he'd try his luck.
But the most stupid was a guy I worked with last year, he was sooooo dumb. He came to work and stated since he fitted his new battery his car is now so much faster. Oh, must add he had rung me the night before asking where the new battery went as there was already one under the bonnet!!!!

Funnily enough, I had one last week.
Customer called to say that ever since I fitted his tracking device back in February he had no wipers. I quickly reminded him of how much rain we have had since February. After a long pause, and a few mumbles he remembered they had in fact been working the previous week. I'm guessing he was so embarrassed at being caught out that he couldn't face me so he asked a friend to bring the vehicle to me for diagnosis.

I went out to fit a basic tracker with driver ID audible alarm switch. When I got to the yard, the vehicle in question was being worked on; having rear beacons and spots fitted by company mechanics. Asked customer if still ok to work on vehicle "yes of course, we need the vehicle ready for the morning". So I did pre checks - trailer brake faults, brake light faults, sidelight faults, flashing Christmas tree dash board.
The next day I get a phone call from the office "customer is saying you left the vehicle non road worthy, they have ECU faults, brake light faults etc"......
"No problem......I'll send you my pre and post check videos" 😉
Didn't hear anything else
