Christmas 2009 Fight night meet.

One of our veteran forum members "Jim Bute" was entered into a charity boxing match on the 26th of November in the Newcastle area. Jim (aged 47) was fighting to help raise money for the Macmillan cancer research foundation a very worth cause if ever there was one. With one of our members in need of support and Christmas being just around the corner we decided to make it a combined fight night / Christmas meeting and engineers traveled hundreds of miles by plane, train and automobiles to make the meeting. Well we were not disappointed with the result as our man Jim after three rounds of pounding on Mark Gorman was awarded the win by the judges and quite rightly so! Other events of the evening saw an Ifit consortium buy a Muhammad Ali gown in the after boxing auction and a generally great party feel. Jim also took the time to meet with us the following night and show us around his home town of Sunderland bar by bar before heading back home for a few hours with his wife (the lovely Jo) before he set off for Ghana for a 4 week installation contract.
