For as long as aftermarket products have been fitted, there have been great installations
and great installations go on every single day of the year all over the world

But not all of them are great and to be honest some of them are very far from great
.
Unfortunately it is very hard to tell who will give you a great installation? and who will give you a poor installation?
"So how can I tell who will give me a quality installation?" I hear you ask.
"The one with flash signwriting on their van or shop?
If their van or shop is clean and tidy?
If the installer or salesman has a nice smart uniform and is clean shaved?
If they are busy?
If they are a big multinational company?
If they are a local company?
If they advertise on TV?
If they advertise in the yellow pages?
If the installer or salesman sounds like he knows what he is talking about?
If they are expensive?
If they are cheap?"
Well in my experience, none of these things are a really good indication of you getting a great installation! I do think that you can tell a certain amount by an installer, I think you can see how much pride he has in what he does by how tidy his toolbox is or how tidy his van is and if he is dressed smart (although none of that reflects his skill level, it should mean that he / she at least wants to do a good job).
We are in a very price driven market at the moment and some companies are simply cutting corners to allow them to make the proffit they want or to just be able to sell for the prices that they do and that is not a healthy attitude to have. It's not healthy for the industry and it sure is not healthy for you to be driving around in your lovely car with a 5 star safety rating with your family and without knowing it all your lives could be at risk because you saved £5 on your car kit installation!
